Terms of service

The service
CandidateLaunch ("we") designs, builds and hosts websites for political candidates, committees and similar organizations ("you"). The package you choose, as described on our packages page on the day you order, defines what's included.
Payment
Setup is due before work begins and is non-refundable once the build week starts. The 2028 reservation deposit is refundable in full if you cancel before work begins. Monthly plans are billed in advance, run month to month and can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month. Prepaid hosting is non-refundable after the first 30 days.
The 7-day timeline
The 7 days begin once your setup is paid, your interview has taken place and we've received your photos and required details. If we miss the 7-day window for reasons within our control, your first month of the monthly plan is free.
Ownership
You own your domain, which we register in your name or your committee's name, and the text, photos and other material you provide or we write for you. On request we'll deliver a full export of your site. Our underlying template code is licensed to you for use on your site; you may keep using an exported copy.
Your content and compliance
You're responsible for the accuracy of what appears on your site, including claims about yourself and others, and for compliance with election, disclaimer, contribution and reporting law. We'll place the disclaimer you provide; we don't give legal advice. We may decline or remove content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, or that infringes someone else's rights.
Donations and data
We don't process contributions. Donation buttons link to third-party processors you choose, under their terms. Sign-up data collected through your site belongs to you; see our privacy policy.
Referral relationships
We may earn referral commissions from some third-party tools we recommend. We disclose this when we recommend a paid tool, and you're never required to use our links. Third-party services are governed by their own terms.
Limits of liability
We work hard to keep your site online and secure, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service from hosting or domain providers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new date. Changes don't apply retroactively to work already paid for.
